Caring for a horse is a big responsibility! There are big appetites to feed, hooves to shoe, veterinary care to provide, gear to maintain, and lots and lots of poop to clean! On average, a horse costs about $150 a month to maintain. Sponsors will not only be added to our “Wall of Miracle Workers” at our facility, but will be recognized on the bio board of the animal they sponsor and will be mentioned in every social media post which includes their sponsored animal!
We want to be able to provide miracles to anyone who needs them. It costs about $360- $480 for an 8-week therapy or therapeutic riding program. Many clients may qualify through insurance, but many do not. Your donation can provide this opportunity for a child who otherwise would not be able to receive this life-changing experience. At the end of 8 weeks, you will receive a thank you card from the child who you sponsored and you will be included on our “Wall of Miracle Workers”.
As a young organization with big plans, there is a lot to be done! We, along with many wonderful and dedicated volunteers, are rolling up our sleeves to make Manes and Miracles an experience unlike any other for our visitors. There is a vast range of improvements and projects that we are slowly working on, but can accomplish much faster with your support! Please contact us for the most urgent projects in need of funding and sponsorship. Those who fully sponsor a project will be invited to visit their project, receive a picture or video of their completed project in action, and will be included on our “Wall of Miracle Workers”.
Hayden gets to leave behind the limitations of her wheelchair each week as she experiences the freedom of walking during therapy with Winston, her favorite horse.
When you join the Miracle Makers Club, you provide scholarships for Hayden and the over 60 other special needs friends receiving equine-assisted therapy at Manes and Miracles!
